Today we welcomed our new year 7 students into our Hope family. We look foward to guiding them through their journey during the next 5 years.
Students were greeted by academy staff as they arrived and were directed to their entrance gate where they were informed how to line up each morning and enter the building with their Inspire tutor.
Students have had the opportunity to spend extended time with their tutor and learn more about the expectations of Hope Academy students. Having spent some time visiting each of the Inspire groups I can honestly say they have made an exceptional start to the new academic year.
I hope our Class of 2026 students have enjoyed their first day at the Academy and are looking forward to meeting their subjects teachers next week.
We have posted 2 letters to you today; your ParentPay login information and also Satchel:One homework app login details and user instructions.
In my weekly blog we celebrate students successes and achievements and also share important news and events that have taken place at the Academy.
Next week we look forward to welcoming students as follows:
Monday 6th Septemberâ (Week A)
Tuesday 7th Septemberâ
Wednesday 8th Septemberâ
St Helens Council have asked schools to share a COVID update letter with parents and also a return to school leaflet. Please click here to access.
One important addition to our student support network is the SHARP System (Student Help Advice Reporting Page System). SHARP will allow our students to report any incidents which occur within the academy and local community anonymously and without fear. Aside from the reporting tool SHARP delivers educational content to raise awareness on a wide range of subjects including: Bullying, Health, Community Issues, Weapons and Hate Crime. The SHARP System promotes inclusion, safeguarding, e-safety and provides additional opportunities for students to report their concerns.
I will write to you early next week and detail how students can access the SHARP System.
God of Love,
You have blessed us with goodness and love.
May our work at Hope Academy this year be a worthy echo of Your Grace.
Guide our forthcoming days in this new academic year with Your wisdom.
Bless us with health, strength and joy for the journey ahead.
Let us continue to grow in love for You and respect for each other.
Help our relationships with fellow staff, students, and the wider Hope Community grow in understanding, value and care.
Hold us close in our daily work, touch the hearts of students, and help us build a Civilization of Hope and Love.
Have a wonderful weekend.
