Wigan Music Service Christmas Concert

On the evenings of Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th December Hope Academy hosted the annual Christmas performance of the students who work with Wigan Music Service. The students are from an age range which spans junior, intermediate, and youth levels, and comprise choirs, string orchestras, brass bands, and guitar and percussion ensembles.

The events were a tremendous success, with one thousand people in the audience over the two evenings, and the standards of performance were a credit to the young people who took part. The next planned event from the students of Wigan Music Service will be an Easter concert, and we at Hope Academy look forward very much to hosting the performances once again.

Wigan Music Service now use Hope Academy as their rehearsal and teaching base every Thursday evening throughout the school year, and these concerts are a culmination of the work the students have put in to enhance their musical skills. We enjoyed two memorable evenings, and the students, their parents and their teachers should be proud of the quality of their work.
