Rotary Club Young Chef competition

This year we hosted our 5th Young Chef of the Year competition organised by the Rotary club for Newton-Le-Willows.

10 fantastic Young chefs from years 7 through to 9 battled it out against each other to win first, second and third prize and go through to the second round of the competition.

The winners were;

First - Faith Riddell with a king prawn tagliatella and a torte caprice dessert

Second - Niamh O’Kelly  with a chicken and mushroom pie and a white chocolate and mint mousse

Third - Ruby Neely with a pineapple beef and rice and butterscotch banana pie

The second round will take place on Thursday 13th December at Kingsway High School in Manchester. Well done to all the 10 chefs who took part you all were outstanding.

Good luck to Faith, Niamh and Ruby in the second round of the competition.
