Respect Courage Ambition

I am delighted to introduce myself as Head of School at this vibrant, dynamic and ambitious Academy. Having worked as part of the Hope Academy team since we opened, I have seen the Academy grow from strength-to-strength and am proud to have been a part of its rapid improvement journey. We are central to the local community we serve and our core values of Respect, Courage and Ambition serve to guide us in everything we do.

Our dedicated team of staff are fully committed to providing an outstanding education for students, working above and beyond to provide a challenging and engaging curriculum for all. We ensure that students engage with our subject curriculums within and beyond the classroom walls, providing opportunities wherever possible to enhance their cultural learning experiences. Our subject leaders are experts in their field and provide exceptional professional development for staff.

Personal development sits at the heart of everything we do. It is essential that our young people have the skills, competencies and emotional resilience that they will need in life. In order to acquire these essential life skills, all students access the Hope Inspire Programme. This is a daily programme where students explore a range of topics and skills outside of the traditional academic curriculum, which also encourages students to engage with our Hope values of respect, courage and ambition. The Hope Inspire Programme is planned and delivered by all staff because we fully recognise its importance in developing the character of the student.

Hope Academy is a family. We work together and are relentless in a pursuit of the best for our young people. As a distinctively Christian Academy, we believe that all students should have the opportunity to develop their talents in an environment that will nurture, support and challenge them. Every young person is unique and I fully believe that it is our job to unlock that talent and provide students with the confidence they need to fully showcase their gifts. Our Vision of ‘Outstanding in all we do’ resonates throughout our Academy and I am proud that we all aim for this standard every single day.

Hope Academy is a wonderful place to work and I look forward to welcoming you and your child into our community.
