The PiXL Edge
The PiXL Edge is a framework to develop and accredit students with those personal attributes essential for employability and life.
The scheme will focus on five key attributes:
- Leadership
- Organisation
- Initiative
- Resilience
- Communication
How many different levels are there?
Students will qualify at three levels – PiXL Apprentice, PiXL Graduate and PiXL Master – having completed activity programmes related to the key attributes and accredited through the NCFE examination board.
How will PiXL Edge work at Hope Academy?
At Hope Academy we are launching the PiXL Apprentice programme with our Years 7 and 8, and the PiXL Graduate programme with our Years 9, 10, 12 and 13. We expect some Year 12 and 13 students to advance towards PiXL Masters level by the end of the academic year.
Every activity must be planned and evidenced on the Hope Academy PiXL Edge record form and the PiXL Edge website, and then be signed off by a member of staff. To be accredited with a PiXL Apprentice level, students must gain 10 credits in total (2 credits from each key attribute).
