Head of School Blog - Week 8
We have come to the end of a very successful half term at the Academy. Our students and staff have achieved so much during the last 8 weeks and I am sure they are looking forward to a well-deserved half term holiday.
Our Year 11 Executive Prefect team met for the first time on 8th October to help plan for the coming academic year. They will be supporting and leading on key areas of our academy development plan including; student voice, student well-being, charity, sport and transition work. They are a very committed and inspiring group to work with and we are looking forward to the opportunities that their hard work will bring to our student community.
Students and staff continue to work hard daily to ensure that we achieve our vision to be ‘outstanding in all we do’. Can I please ask for your support in completing the parent voice survey using the link below. Your feedback will be used to celebrate good practice as well as helping us to focus on areas of priority. We are incredibly proud of our school community and we look forward to your engagement. During the next half-term we will be hosting the following events at the Academy:

We will be holding our annual Christmas Markets on Monday 9th December from 6.00pm. This event is always very popular with staff, students, parents and the local community. If you would like to run a stall, please email HopeChristmasMarket@sthelens.org.uk.
I would like to remind you about my recent letter regarding attendance which can be viewed on the website (Link to Letters Home). The Academy attendance target is 97%. As attendance is closely linked to academic success, please make sure your son/daughter is on target for 100% attendance by not taking holidays during term time and avoiding routine doctors and dental appointments during the academy day. If you have any questions regarding attendance please do not hesitate to contact your child’s pastoral manager or head of year.
Finally, I would like to thank you, our parent community for your continued support which is, as always, very much appreciated.
