Students are provided with information, advice and guidance on the application process throughout 6th form life.

Students must apply through the Academy but may view the UCAS website at:

www.ucas.com

University application timeline for starting university in 2020:

Summer 2019

  • Choose your course and up to 5 universities
  • Write the first draft of your personal statement
  • Register with UCAS and begin your online application

1st September 2019

  • Applications open (aim to hand yours in as soon as possible!)
  • Your school or college will write your reference  

15th October 2019

Admissions deadline for Oxford, Cambridge, Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science

15th January 2020

Application deadline for all other courses if you wish to commence in September 2020

October 2019 – March 2020

  • Interviews
  • Hear back from the universities: conditional or unconditional offers or unsuccessful application.

March 2020

  • Deadline for some art & design courses
  • Apply for student finance (deadline 31st May 2020)

May – August 2020

  • Exams May/June 
  • Results day - August
  • Clearing or adjustment

September 2020

  • University or gap year begins
